12/06/07 - Out Of Hiding/Decking Halls
A big big "Hello!" to all our friends out there. 2007 has blown by for us here and as you have noticed Kyle has been laying pretty low. Rest assured he had a few good reasons. (The main one being his marriage that occured in October!) But we are all looking forward to more music in 2008.
Everything will get rolling with Kyle's 2nd annual Christmas Show in Topeka on the 23rd. Check out the details and make plans to come "Fa" and "la" and "la" along with the band!

01/03/07 - A Year End/Year Beginning Note From Kyle
Hello dear friends. I sincerely hope that each of you had a wonderful couple of holiday weeks and that it was a time full of family and friends and all the joys that come with such time. I want to thank everyone who flooded the World Cup on the 23rd for the Christmas show. It was an excellent circus of Christmasy fun and I was so glad to see everyone that came out (If you missed out on this please check out the Journal for all the craziness that took place and rest assured that the 2007 Christmas Show is already in
the works!)
I wanted to take a moment here on the website to give a big THANKS! (Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!) a million times over: to all the wonderful people that made 2006 so exceptional for me. It has been a joy to put out my first CD, to sing my little heart out, and to meet a bunch of new people at concerts and events. I hope that you have enjoyed it as much as I have.
To begin 2007, I will be taking a couple months off [from playing live] to focus on songwriting and working with the good folks at Sapitot to plan out the next leg of my musical journey. I am hopeful that this will mean starting to work on a second album in the near future and I am hopeful that any and all of you will continue to journey with me wherever the new year takes me. Music is a blessing for me and I hope the music that finds me will be a blessing to you as well.
Many thanks to you listeners once again! I encourage you to stay connected here or to my Myspace page. (One of my many hopes for the new year is to keep this website more up to date and to share more with you in my Journal section)
I can’t wait to see where this year will take us!
Many Blessings,
Kyle

09/02/05 - NEW NEWS! NEW SHOWS! NEW SONG!
Hey All! My apologies for the absence. The past couple months have been going
really great and it looks like finally I have something to report. The CD is
almost done! [I know that this particular statement has come back to haunt me
before but right now it's actually true] We will be wrapping up production on
the CD the weekend of Sept. 10th. Then it will be shipped off to get mastered
and then printed up. The artwork my brother has come up with is beyond
expectations [It's his best work to date hands down] So keep an eye on the
site for a RELEASE PARTY mid to late October. I'm frickin' excited! Whoomp!
In other news: the journal will actually start being updated now, so you can
check that out to hear what's going on in my life as well as probably random
thoughts and musings. Already in the journal is a list of my past shows. This
is a feature that I love about this journal - I'll be able to post setlists from
my shows and anyone that was there can swing by and leave comments about the
show (hopefully good ones... but honesty is appreciated in whatever form).
Speaking of shows my move to Topeka has been a good catalyst for getting more
gigs. Hopefully I'll keep the shows coming and be moving towards some other
towns once the CD is released.
Finally, I wanted you all to take a listen to a new live track that I've posted
on my myspace.com page. It's from last weeks show at Lazio's. A little jam
between myself and my drummer Chad. Check it out and tell me what you think.
Thanks for the patience... we'll be seeing you soon!
Kyle

07/18/05 - Kyle's Blog
Kyle's own customized blog is now up and running under the Journal link above. To start things out, he's posted every setlist from every show he's ever played! In addition, you can make comments about any posting he places up there.
Enjoy! You'll be hearing from Kyle with a recording update very soon!

05/25/05 - A Great Big Overdue Thanks
I want to extend a big thank you to my good buddy Tim Andersen that took the
time to shoot the photographs of me that you see on this site as well as in the
upcoming CD. He has built up quite a portfolio which you can view at his site
here. Please pay him a visit and
check out his work. Thanks again Timmy!
Recording Update (Part Two)
Everything is coming along nicely. We were able to spend some time with Chad
Nigh in Topeka this weekend and wrapped up the remainder of his drum tracks.
The tracks are really coming together and every time I hear them they sound
better and better. Thanks to everyone that is asking about it and continuing
to encourage this project on. It's finding it's way. In the meantime I have a
show coming up this weekend (it was a surprise to me, otherwise it would have
been posted earlier!) So I hope to see some of you there!

04/20/2005 - Welcome!!
Hello, and welcome to the newly birthed kylemoreland.com! It's been a long time coming but many things are falling into place right now and the launch of this web page is at the center of it all. As you probably know I am working on my
debut album entitled "Build Yourself a Boat." As we continue to get closer to
the completion of this mammoth undertaking I will be frequently posting updates
to keep you all informed of where we are in the process. And once it is
released this will be your one-stop destination for keeping up with what's
going on with my music. So please feel free to look around and thank you so
much for stopping by. I also must give an indescribable "thank you" to my
brother over at Sapitot Creative for his tireless work in getting this site up
as well as his belief in the record. It means the world to me bro!
Recording Update (Part One)
Slowly but surely we are headed towards that oh so distant light at the far side
of this beautiful project. I am happy to report that this week we are finishing
up laying down the bulk of the main parts (guitar/drums/vox..) We finally
conquered the ever elusive "Croquet Games and Coffee Mugs" last night which got
quite a burden off my shoulders. So, within the next week we will be moving
into a new phase of recording which I expect will be lots of fun: adding the
flavoring if you will (Percussion, strings, background voxs, steel guitar, cowbell...
yes there will be a bit of the cowbell) Right now I am throwing out late May
for the target on when we get everything done which will put the album out
sometime in late June. Thank you all so much for your patience and your
support during this process... it's on it's way and I couldn't be more excited!
-Kyle
