10. French Toast and Scrambled Eggs

Slow hops down the stairs / In flip flops and your sleeping wear / And coffee beans fill up our air / I swear

Every morning before you wake / I’ll make you French toast and scrambled eggs / It’s just one more poor way for me to say / I love you

When night is deep and I am out / And you fall asleep waiting on our couch / The smell of roses as you rouse / I swear

Every time that I am gone / I’ll bring you wild flowers home / It’s just one more poor way for me to show / How much I love you

Busy days well we’ll start off slow / Let time tick by till it’s time to go / I won’t leave your arms until I know / I swear

No day of mine will begin / Till I get lost inside those eyes again / It’s just one more poor way to let me in / To say I love you

Now I know that I still dream in fairy tales / And all these promises are bound to fail / So I’ll swear

Every morning when the light is rare / And my tired head swims around in prayer / To the God who fills wonder down here / I’ll pray. . .Sweet Jesus / Capture more of her heart today / Capture all of her heart today / And this may be the only way / That a man like me can truly say / I love you . . . Beautiful I do
